Delivery Manager


We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused Delivery Manager to join our Transformation & Digital team at Whānau Āwhina Plunket.

This is an exciting full time fixed-term opportunity to play a key role in driving the successful delivery of digital and improvement initiatives that support tamariki, whānau and kaimahi across Aotearoa.

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

As Delivery Manager, you’ll work at the centre of our digital and improvement programme bringing together people, priorities, processes and delivery practices to ensure work is planned, governed and delivered in a way that is collaborative, transparent and user centred.

Working closely with business leaders, project teams, vendors and stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll help shape and strengthen delivery capability while supporting the successful delivery of our Digital Strategy.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery across digital and improvement initiatives from intake through to release and adoption
  • Coordinate work across teams, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes
  • Support delivery planning, prioritisation, governance and reporting across multiple workstreams
  • Facilitate agile delivery practices including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
  • Improve delivery maturity and ways of working across the organisation
  • Ensure delivery outcomes are user-centred, high quality and aligned to organisational priorities
  • Build strong relationships and provide trusted advice across the business

You’ll be an experienced delivery professional who can confidently lead work programmes, influence stakeholders and drive outcomes in fast-paced and evolving environments.

You’ll bring a balance of strategic thinking, organisation, communication and relationship management skills, alongside the ability to adapt your approach to different audiences and situations.

You’ll also bring:

  • Proven experience in delivery management across digital, technology, service or change environments
  • Strong understanding of delivery governance, planning, reporting and risk management practices
  • Experience delivering initiatives from discovery and planning through to release and adoption
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels
  • Experience using delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Monday.com or similar
