Senior Graphic Designer


Whānau Āwhina Plunket people are at the heart of what we do, our frontline kaimahi impact the lives of whānau from across Aotearoa on a day-to-day basis, providing reassurance and clinical advice in homes, clinics and in community settings.

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our Communications team in a full time permanent role. While we have a preference for a Wellington or Auckland based candidate, if you are outside these locations and feel connected to the role, we welcome an application from you. 

 

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your creative ideas and expertise to help us promote our brand across Aotearoa. You’ll work closely with our Communications and Fundraising teams, and across the organisation, ensuring Plunket’s imagery and design align with our mission to support New Zealand whānau, particularly our priority populations.

You will be skilled at developing and managing internal relationships and external suppliers. Extend your creative thinking and production skills through the design of graphics for our intranet, website, social media, reports and events.

You will be a self-starter who enjoys working autonomously, providing organisation-wide guidance and advice, and is able to respond to business needs when they arise.

 

He kōrero mōu | About you

As an experienced Senior Graphic Designer, you’ll have a passion for creating engaging designs that reflect our brand values. You’ll be proactive, innovative, and detail-oriented with a knack for developing creative solutions that help bring our communications strategy to life.

You’ll be an expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), and familiar with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Your strong communication skills and ability to work across teams to support Plunket’s vision, will ensure you thrive in this role.

You will also:

  • Have proven graphic design experience in a corporate, agency, or NFP/NGO environment, and be comfortable working with tight budgets
  • Have the drive to establish strong working relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Understand the importance of culturally relevant and accessible design, and be committed to our pro-equity journey and priority populations.
