Registered Nurse
Build a career supporting tamariki to thrive, with Northland’s beaches and outdoor adventures within reach. Whether you’re beginning your nursing career or bringing years of experience, join Whānau Āwhina Plunket in Whangārei and make a difference during the years that matter most.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We have permanent Registered Nurse opportunities available in Whangārei, with hours ranging from 0.6 FTE to full-time.
As a Plunket Nurse, you’ll build trusted relationships with whānau, supporting the health and wellbeing of pēpi and tamariki from birth to five years. Through home visits and clinic appointments, you’ll undertake health and development assessments, provide practical advice and health education, and connect whānau with additional support when needed.
Your mahi will involve listening, recognising strengths and working alongside whānau to understand what matters to them. You’ll use your clinical judgement to identify concerns early, plan care and help whānau feel confident in their parenting journey.
New graduates bring fresh knowledge, curiosity and enthusiasm. Experienced nurses bring valuable clinical judgement and perspectives from other areas of practice. We welcome both, with opportunities to develop your knowledge in child health, community nursing and population health.
