This is a permanent (0.9FTE) position, we are flexible with the times and days worked however, occasional Saturday shiftsare required

The salary band for this role is between $66,222 ($33.51 per hour) - $94,842 ($48 per hour) depending on experience.

Te Whiwhingamahi | The opportunity

Plunket Nurses assess the growth and development of tamariki.

You will meet with whānau (both home visits and in clinics) where you'll foster trusting relationships in the community and adopt a holistic approach to deliver culturally appropriate and personalised support. Working alongside a highly motivated team you'll be committed to delivering engaging care where whānau have a safe space to share parenting challenges and celebrate successes.

Working in the community during a cost of living crisis means you will undoubtedly meet whānau who are facing significant challenges. Our clinical responsibilities co-exist with the need to ensure pēpi are being raised in safe and healthy homes.

He kōrero mōu| About you

You’ll need to be resourceful, resilient and comfortable working autonomously in the community, using sound judgement and making confident decisions to maintain a high-quality experience and minimise risk for our clients.

We are confident we can give you great support with our experienced team.

It is vital that you enjoy working with pēpi, however the majority of your interactions will be with caregivers. In order to deliver the right support, you'll need to have exceptional active listening skills, be able to ask questions tactfully.

Ngā pukengame tohunga Motuhake | Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be a Registered Nurse preferablexperience in paediatrics or primary care nursing
  • Hold or be able to obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Hold a full clean NZ Drivers Licence
  • Be committed to completing Post Graduate Certificate in Well Child Tamariki ora (we will pay for this)
