Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

At Whanau Awhina Plunket, our nurses are trusted healthcare providers who support whanau through home visits and in clinic appointments. We take time to understand our clients, providing evidence based health education and working alongside whanau to find the right pathways for effective early intervention where concerns are identified.

In our ongoing mission to breakdown healthcare barriers, we are piloting delivering immunisations for under 5s, alongside our traditional Well Child service. The aim of this initiative is to ensure whānau have access to up to date, trusted education and when they choose to vaccinate, our team are able to do so.

Working in the community during a cost-of-living crisis means you will undoubtedly meet whānau who are facing significant challenges. Our clinical responsibilities co-exist with the need to deliver social support to ensure pēpi are being raised in safe and healthy homes.
