Join Whānau Āwhina Plunket and support whānau during one of life's most important journeys. We're looking for two Registered Nurses to join our Porirua team in permanent 0.8 FTE positions, providing trusted, evidence-based care that helps tamariki and their whānau thrive.

Working in the community, you'll build meaningful relationships with families, empowering parents and caregivers with the knowledge and confidence to give their pēpi the best possible start in life.

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

As a Plunket Registered Nurse, you'll deliver well child health assessments, health promotion and parenting support through home visits, clinics and community settings. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team and local health providers to ensure whānau receive the right support at the right time.

This is a community-based role offering variety, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine difference every day.

These are permanent 0.8 FTE (32 hours per week) positions based in Porirua. We're flexible on your working days; however, you'll need to be available to work Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays as part of your regular roster.

The salary band for this role is between $66,222 ($33.51 per hour) - $94,842 ($48 per hour) depending on experience.

You're a compassionate Registered Nurse who enjoys building trusting relationships and supporting whānau to achieve positive health outcomes. You'll be confident working independently while knowing the value of collaborating with your wider team.

You'll bring a genuine commitment to equitable health outcomes and enjoy working in partnership with diverse communities across the Wellington region.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā tohunga Motuhake | Skills and qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Be a Registered Nurse
• Hold or be able to obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate
• Undergo a Ministry of Justice Check
• Hold a full clean NZ Drivers Licence
• Be committed to completing 12 month Post Graduate Certificate in Well Child Tamariki ora (we would cover the cost for this)
