Playing a part in our community is at the heart of what we do. We're seeking the assistance of a Registered Nurses to support our Northland team. We are open to applications from both full time and part time applicants.

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

Our Whanau Āwhina Plunket Nurses are a key part of our organisation conducting home visits and facilitating clinics performing checks to ensure pēpi are developing and growing and providing clinical advice which empowers our whānau to succeed and prosper in their journey raising tamariki.

Our work requires nurses who are ready to take action in order to build sustainable and responsive care plans that support holistic health. The care we provide often requires working with multiple agencies and specialists – it will not be up to you alone to make the difference and to respond to the needs of our community.

Provided with the technology to support your success (a pool of work vehicles, laptop and smartphone) we’ll ensure you receive the support to thrive through the WCTO Post Graduate Certificate.

He kōrero mōu | About you

A confident people-person, you’ll be able to effectively build rapport to help whānau feel confident with engaging in our service. You may already have connections throughout the region, which you will be comfortable leveraging in order to best support whānau.

We’re interested in hearing from new graduates, established nurses and we also have our Return to Nursing Competency Assessment Programme for nurses who have not practiced recently.

You’ll have the ability to work independently while being flexible to also work with the wider Northland team when we are able to come together. The role requires a high level of time management - ensuring we are managing travel, visits and documentation.
