Registered Nurse - Helensville (0.8 FTE)

Whānau Āwhina Plunket is the largest Well Child Tamariki in Aotearoa, giving us the opportunity to support tamariki and their whānau to get the best start in life. Through our head-to-toe development assessments, our nurses provide proactive health education and ensure early intervention and support is available for tamariki who need it.

We have the opportunity for a passionate, independent and caring Registered Nurse to join us on a 0.8 FTE permanent (4 days a week) basis. If you live in the area and have grown tired of the commute or maybe you’re wanting to get out of the big smoke and settle in a warm community look no further than Helensville.

Te Whiwhinga Mahi | The Opportunity

Serving the wider area of lower Kaipara from Woodhill to South Head, further north to Glorit, and east to Waitoki, you’ll become an instrumental part of the community, walking alongside the many young families in the area as they find their feet.

You will meet whānau in their homes and at our Commercial Road clinic. Using effective relationship building and active listening, you’ll be able to put each whānau in touch with the services, advice or simply provide reassurance.

Utilising your assessment and clinical skills, you’ll identify and address concerns and make timely referral(s) to other health professionals or social services where required.

He Kōrero Mōu | About You

While you don’t need to have neonatal, pediatric or community experience, working in a semi-rural community will require you to be a confident practitioner ready to manage the wide variety of circumstances which come with working on your own. You’ll be a resilient practitioner self-starter who is able to prioritise and manage their time effectively. With the ability to build effective relationships, the whānau you meet with, and other local providers will look forward to working in partnership with you.

With an eclectic community, you’ll be committed to providing exceptional and culturally safe care to the community we serve.
