Registered Nurse - Hamilton (4 days a week)

We’re lucky to have a chance to meet with the majority of Aotearoa in their first 5 years. Join us as a Registered Nurse and ensure each Plunket baby has the best start to life! We have a permanent part time role (Tuesday - Friday) in our Hamilton team.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Your role is to assess the growth and development of tamariki and be a trusted clinical advisor, supporting whānau to raise happy and healthy tamariki. You will foster relationships with whānau in the community, taking a holistic approach when meeting with whānau in their homes or at our clinics. Our Hamilton clinic is currently a part of our exciting immunisation pilot programme.
You will work in partnership with our wider Plunket services like health workers, PlunketLine nurses and external agencies to best support the whānau in your care.
Pay rates for our Registered Nurses are between $66,222 ($33.51 per hour) - $94,842 ($48 per hour) depending on experience.

You will bring a passion for whānau-focused care with a commitment to delivering a high-quality and equitable care
Your ability to build relationships, listen and be led by your clients will determine your success in this role. We work with whānau from all walks of life, and being providing a safe space where whānau can speak freely is crucial to the role.
While your training and life experience will have prepared you to work with whānau who may be experiencing difficulties including family violence, maternal and other mental health challenges and high levels of deprivation.

To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a Registered Nurse
- Hold or be able to obtain an Annual Practicing Certificate
- Hold a clean NZ Drivers Licence
- Be committed to completing 12 month Post Graduate Certificate in Well Child Tamariki ora (we will pay cover the cost for this)
