Registered Nurse - Before School Checks


At 4 years old, tamariki are in a unique and critical stage of life, these cheeky, precocious and clever little souls provide our B4 School Nurses with endless joy, entertainment and wonder. We have a permanent full-time position available for a passionate Registered Nurse working across the central east Auckland region.

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

We have the privilege of spending our days conducting health and development checks in a variety of settings including homes, clinics, early childhood centres and other community hubs.  If you are passionate about holistic health, this is a great opportunity for you to engage with children and assess their overall development including their hearing, speech, as well as mental and social health to ensure they are progressing and are well prepared to start school or making referrals for those who might need some extra attention.

With a dedicated administration team who manage appointments. You will be provided with a Plunket vehicle on the days you are home visiting and at the end of the day, you'll drop your car off and leave your paperwork ready to embrace the life part of work-life balance!

We are open to applications from experienced and new graduated nurses so if you are passionate about this mahi, please get in touch! The uniqueness of the whānau/aiga/fanau that we connect with is what makes our role interesting, you will be flexible in your approach, but always with a listening ear, manākitanga, and the ability to provide culturally safe care.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a registered nurse
  • Hold Current NZNC Practicing Certificate
  • Hold a full or restricted clean NZ Drivers License
