Recruitment Advisor

Te Whiwhingamahi | The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Advisor to join our People team and provide responsive, practical and values led recruitment support to leaders across Whānau Āwhina Plunket.
As a key point of contact for leaders undertaking recruitment, you will provide end-to-end support across advertising, sourcing, screening, shortlisting, interviews and selection. You will develop trusted relationships with leaders, taking the time to understand their teams, workforce needs and recruitment challenges so you can provide proactive advice.
A key part of this role will be building leader capability and confidence. You will coach leaders in recruitment best practice, support fair and consistent selection decisions, and help them make effective use of our recruitment systems, tools and resources.
Working closely with our Recruitment & Retention Partner and wider People team, you will:
- Develop engaging, inclusive and targeted job advertisements in partnership with hiring leaders.
- Support sourcing strategies that attract diverse, high quality candidates.
- Coach leaders through candidate screening, shortlisting, interviewing and selection.
- Develop role specific interview questions and selection materials.
- Coordinate interviews and provide timely, thoughtful communication to candidates.
- Provide guidance on position and FTE management in line with approved workforce plans and budgets.
- Represent Whānau Āwhina Plunket at recruitment events and employment initiatives.

You will be an experienced recruitment professional who enjoys partnering with leaders, managing a varied portfolio and creating a positive experience for both candidates and hiring teams.
You will bring:
- At least three years’ experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or an HR advisory position.
- Experience managing end-to-end recruitment across a range of roles.
- Sound knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and recruitment best practice.
- Strong interviewing, candidate assessment and selection skills.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions focused approach, with a genuine interest in continuous improvement.
Most importantly, you will be committed to equitable recruitment practices and comfortable constructively challenging thinking to support fair, consistent and valuesled decisions.
