An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and qualified person to support expectant mothers, fathers and whānau as a Pregnancy and Parenting Education Facilitator (Childbirth/ Antenatal Educator) in the West Coast region (Westport).

This role provides education for expectant parents and their whānau to ensure they have information and support to adequately prepare them during their pregnancy, for childbirth and parenting. This role will cover courses being provided in Westport on the West Coast of Aotearoa.


To be successful in this role you will:

•  Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

•  Have a high degree of motivation and initiative

•  Effectively coordinate and plan the education sessions to meet the needs of expectant parents and whanau; ensuring delivery of evidence based information

•  Collect monthly records and statistics for reporting purposes

•  Hold a current full NZ Driver’s licence

You will either have a Childbirth Educator qualification, or have a background as a Midwife or Registered Nurse.
