Plunket – Health and Safety Coordinator (permanent part time) 20-25 hours

Help one of New Zealand’s most trusted and respected brands to grow and develop, so we can keep making a difference to Kiwi families.

Our organisational values

Trust/Te Aroha, Quality of Service/Te Ūnga, Inclusiveness/Te Mahinga Tahi, Commitment / Te Tautukunga

The first 1000 days of a child’s life are vastly important – and with your help, we can support families to make them the best possible.

If you’re enthusiastic and enjoy developing innovative yet pragmatic injury prevention initiatives, then this is a fantastic opportunity to further hone your skills while working for an organisation that makes a real difference to families’ lives.

You’ll have good data/trend analysis skills, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders such as unions, health and safety national and regional committees.

This role’s priority will be to focus on the continuous improvement of the health and safety management system (HSMS), by providing valuable insights into data for reporting purposes, proactive risk and hazard management and strengthening the worker participation and engagement framework.

You’ll need to be able to think at an organisational level and work with people from a diverse range of disciplines to achieve the best outcome, as well as be a highly organised team player, with great communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.  Obviously, you’ll also have a strong affinity with Plunket’s strategic direction and values so if this sounds like you, you’re just the sort of person we need.

Enabling people to work in a way that supports them to meet their personal commitments and maintain a healthy balance is important to us - as such we are open to flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.
