People Business Partner
People are at the heart of everything we do at Whānau Āwhina Plunket. Every day, our nurses and kaimahi support pēpi, tamariki and whānau across Aotearoa, providing trusted care, reassurance and guidance in homes, clinics and communities. Behind that mahi is a passionate People & Culture team helping our leaders and kaimahi thrive.
Te Whiwhingamahi | The opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced and engaging People Business Partner to join our team in a full time, permanent role based in Auckland. This role offers the opportunity to partner with leaders across a diverse portfolio.
This is a varied and hands-on business partnering role where no two days look the same. You’ll work closely with leaders to provide practical, values-led people solutions across the full employee lifecycle from coaching and workforce planning through to performance, engagement, organisational change and complex ER matters.
You’ll also play a key role in supporting new ways of working, embedding pro-equity approaches into people practices, and helping shape positive workplace culture across the organisation. Alongside this, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to organisation-wide initiatives that build leadership capability, strengthen culture and support our strategic priorities.
If you’re someone who enjoys building trusted relationships, influencing positive change and making a genuine impact through people-focused mahi, this could be the perfect next step.
And while we take our mahi seriously, we also know how important connection, humour and support are, you’ll be joining a collaborative team who genuinely care about each other and the communities we serve.

You know how to build credibility quickly and become a trusted advisor who leaders genuinely want at the table.
You’ll also bring:
- Experience operating in a true business partnering role within a medium to large organisation
- Strong ER knowledge, ideally within unionised environments
- The ability to influence, challenge and support leaders in a constructive way
