Internal Communications Advisor - Fixed Term

We’re seeking an Internal Communications Advisor for parental leave cover in a full time fixed term position (from late July 2025 – August 2026). We can consider candidates based in Wellington or Auckland.

 

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a much-loved national charity on its pro-equity journey.

This key role shapes how our people connect with and engage in Plunket's mission, vision, and strategy. You will own our internal communications channels and support our people through our change projects when needed. You’ll also offer advice and solutions to managers across Plunket, helping them communicate effectively with their teams.

You’ll be at the heart of building strong relationships across the organisation, to ensure that internal messages are aligned with our strategy. With a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement, you’ll tell the Plunket story and support brand awareness.    

 

He kōrero mōu | About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated communications professional who can collaborate with staff across all levels of the organisation, to inform, share and celebrate our people and stories.  

You'll be confident in using Sharepoint and Mailchimp, as well as being a top notch writer with a creative approach to your work.

You will also be/have:

  • A Communications or relevant degree, with 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong storytelling skills, with the ability to create content across multiple channels, including images and video.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • A strong ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with a customer-focused approach.
