Immunisation Services Manager - Fixed Term until June 2026


Whānau Āwhina Plunket supports the health and wellbeing of tamariki under-five and their whānau. We provide clinical support through our traditional Well Child checks and 24/7 telehealthcare via PlunketLine as well as community support such as playgroups where whānau can gather and form lasting positive relationships within their community. 

To support a wider strategic partnership to improve immunisation rates and protect whānau against vaccine preventable disease, we are seeking a confident and experienced health care professional who is keen to bring their experience as a vaccinator to lead the implementation and seamless integration of this service for our kaimahi and the whānau we serve. This role will be fixed term until June 2026.

This role can be based anywhere in Aotearoa.

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

Working across the organisation, you will provide strategic oversight and visibility of the pilot's performance, whilst supporting local teams to pilot equitable, safe and effective immunisation services.

You will work closely with our national and local partners to connect with whānau who most need this service and facilitate effective referral pathways to ensure continuity of care. 

With a deep understanding of equity barriers and reasons for vaccine hesitancy you will help to craft and refine our service to maximise our opportunity to deliver a service that makes a lasting difference.

He kōrero mōu | About you

As the Immunisation Service Manager, you will be the primary subject matter expert for immunisation within and on behalf of Whānau Āwhina Plunket. 

You will be an experienced vaccinator and bring experience in programme or service management. You will be able to support as an escalation point regarding immunisations for our frontline kaimahi (staff) at all levels and have the strategic know how and nous to build and maintain positive relationships across the health system.

  • Registered Health Progressional with a current practicing certificate
  • Fully authorised vaccinator
  • Full NZ Driver Licence
  • The right to work in Aotearoa
  • Workplace Assessor trained or willing to complete this qualification
