Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor
Whānau Āwhina Plunket people are at the heart of what we do, our frontline kaimahi impact the lives of whānau from across Aotearoa on a day to day basis, providing reassurance and clinical advice in homes, clinics and in community settings.
We’re seeking the support of a positive and proactive Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team in a full-time permanent position. You can be based anywhere in New Zealand.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our organisation to create a positive safety culture and promote the health and wellbeing of our employees. The Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Advisor will oversee and update the health and safety policies and procedures, providing guidance and support to kaimahi, and ensuring that Whānau Āwhina Plunket remains compliant with all relevant laws and regulations. This role will also focus on promoting the wellbeing of our people.
You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels to develop and implement effective health and safety programs, provide expert advice and guidance, and lead engaging training sessions.
He kōrero mōu | About you
We are looking for someone who is a great communicator, has a positive attitude, and is committed to making a difference. You will have a strong background in health and safety, with experience in stakeholder engagement, training and development, and the development of wellbeing initiatives.
You will also have/be:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in health and safety, wellbeing, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a health and safety or wellbeing role, with a proven track record of developing and implementing effective programmes.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in the effective management of significant health and safety incidents
- Understanding of specific H&S risks associated with the primary health sector
