Finance Partner - Fixed Term

To support our people to excel and thrive, we’re seeking a Finance Partner on a full time fixed term basis (from 1 June 2025 - 30 January 2026) to support our Clinical teams. You can be based in Wellington or Christchurch

 

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

The Finance Partner drives financial performance across Whānau Āwhina Plunket through the delivery of month end journals, reporting and business partnering. You’ll deliver finance training, provide high quality financial information and guide clinical managers to lift financial literacy.

This is a diverse role where you will contribute as the Finance representative on working groups and projects, manage vacancies, and work with our leaders to inform and support them with decision making.

You’ll have the opportunity to connect with clinical teams, making a positive impact to our front-line service. We have a close team of Finance Partners, ensuring you’ll be well supported and have access to a wealth of internal knowledge as you settle into the role.

 

He kōrero mōu | About you

You will have strong experience in financial accounting or management accounting, alongside excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You’ll be future focused, have an eye for continuous improvement and bring strong decision-making skills alongside a high degree of self-management.

You will also be/have:

  • A Qualified Accountant and a member of a recognised Accounting Body or relevant experience. 
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce/Business, majoring in Accounting (or equivalent experience)
  • The ability to quickly establish credibility, have a personal impact and build excellent working relationships with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
  • Able to identify and implement business improvements that raise business performance
  • The ability to make decisions in context of broader finance and business objectives
