Applications and Solutions Tester

We are seeking a collaborative, experienced Applications and Solutions Tester to join our Digital and Improvements team in Wellington on a full time permanent basis.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Reporting to the Digital Development Team Leader, you’ll be at the heart of our digital projects, working collaboratively with digital and service delivery teams to ensure our applications and solutions are delivered to the highest standard and meet users' needs.
As a critical part of our development process, you’ll contribute to every stage of the project lifecycle—gathering requirements, creating test cases, and proactively identifying potential issues before they arise.
Your expertise will help shape how we deliver software that benefits our teams and the communities we serve. This could be the perfect opportunity if you enjoy looking at a problem from all angles, challenging assumptions, and ensuring quality through rigorous testing.
He kōrero mōu | About You
We’re looking for someone with at least five years of experience in application testing, preferably within the health or social services sector. You’ll have a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality assurance, and the ability to work across the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to solution delivery. You’ll be someone who can anticipate issues before they arise and strives to build seamless applications.
You will also have:
- Experience in application development, from conception to delivery
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, positive attitude when engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
- Solid organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- A “test to break” mentality—pushing scenarios to find weaknesses and ensure robust solutions
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, .NET and Javascript (preferred)
