Advisor - Service Development Projects

We are seeking applications for an Advisor – Service Development Projects to join our team on a fixed term basis working 24 hours a week until 30th June 2026. This role provides high-quality advice and project support to help deliver key service development initiatives that improve outcomes for whānau. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across projects, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to meaningful change.
The role will be majority remote but preferably the successful applicant will be available at the Wellington office from time to time.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
As an Advisor, you will support the Project Manager and wider Service Delivery team with the coordination and delivery of key service development projects.
You’ll play an important role in ensuring projects run smoothly by supporting documentation, coordinating stakeholder input, and maintaining strong communication across workstreams. This includes preparing reports, supporting meetings, tracking actions and helping ensure governance and consultation processes are completed.
Working across a range of projects, you will:
- Develop and maintain high-quality project documentation, reports and supporting collateral
- Consolidate data and narrative information across projects, identifying insights and opportunities for improvement
- Support project meetings including scheduling, minute taking and following up actions and decisions
- Monitor project progress alongside the Project Manager and escalate risks or issues when required
- Provide advice, information and recommendations to project managers, business leads and stakeholders
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management tools, frameworks and processes across the team
You will also work collaboratively with leaders and stakeholders across the organisation and externally to support initiatives that improve service delivery and outcomes for whānau.

You bring strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail. You’re comfortable gathering information from different sources, synthesising it clearly, and supporting teams to stay on track.
You’re also someone who values relationships. You’ll be able to work with a range of people across the organisation, respectfully challenging ideas where needed while maintaining strong and constructive partnerships.
You will align with our uara and bring a commitment to supporting equitable outcomes for tamariki and whānau across Aotearoa.

- Strong organisational and coordination skills with experience supporting projects or programmes of work
- Excellent written communication skills with experience preparing reports, documentation or project materials
- Ability to analyse and consolidate information from multiple sources
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Confidence working across teams and contributing to cross-functional initiatives
- Knowledge and understanding of TeTiriti o Waitangi and its application to improving outcomes for whānau Māori, along with a commitment or interest in Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga
- An understanding of equity and how it applies to service delivery and outcomes
