Administrator - Auckland

Join us to be the first point of contact introducing and connecting whānau with our nurses and wider Plunket services. We’re seeking the support of a permanent full time Administrator (38 hours per week) based at Westgate and a full time fixed term administrator for 4 months based in Manukau to join our team in our Westgate team.

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

Our Administrators receive the referrals from midwives and other lead maternity carers, contact whānau to congratulate them on their new arrival and arrange their initial visits with our registered nurses. You will also manage our 0800 number, answering queries from the public about our services and rescheduling appointments.

In addition to the phone based mahi, this position also involves data entry, database and calendar management to ensure both our clients and staff know where they are going, who they are meeting and what to expect. Working across multiple online systems will require you to have strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills and the ability to move from one task to another with ease.

In line with our pro equity journey, your ability to adapt your communication style to a variety of whānau will also help you to thrive in this role.

The salary band for this role is between $57,405 ($29.05 per hour) - $62,672 ($31.72 per hour) depending on experience.

He kōrero mōu | About you

As a critical part of our front-line team, being able to quickly build rapport and gain trust will be the key to your success. While ensuring quality interactions and that whānau can see the value in our service, you will also be confident in being able to work at pace and find the details you need to reach and engage with whānau.

Despite the locations we each look after, working as a team is critical, so you will be ready to pivot if one of your co-workers need support.

This is a predominantly outbound phone-based position, so confidence and empathy will be key. Prior experience working in an outbound call centre would be advantageous, alongside a hunger to be able to play a key part in our pro-equity journey by ensuring our communities thrive.

We expect and encourage all Plunket people to live our values; kia māia – to be courageous, kia Māhaki – to be humble, kia manaaki – to care and kia tūhono – to stand in relationship.
