Community Services Manager - Wellington

In this role you will provide leadership and direction for volunteer and community services including specific community development projects. Working as part of a supportive regional leadership team, you will ensure that Plunket People working in community services are supported and that the services are developed and delivered to meet community needs and organisational objectives.
You’ll lead and motivate a team, ensuring excellent customer service and delivery of strategic and tactical business objectives. You will also work with local iwi stakeholders so will have knowledge of relevant cultural protocols and you will be able to identify and develop new service delivery opportunities. It goes without saying that your communication skills (verbal and written) will be excellent.
This is a big role with the potential to make a big difference. To be effective in it, we anticipate that you will have a postgraduate management qualification (or working towards) or extensive equivalent experience. You will have experience in community service development, ideally in the NGO, health or community sectors.
The position is based in Wellington but will cover the Wellington, Wairarapa, Hawkes Bay, Wanganui and Manawatu areas so travel within these areas is required.
